Welcome!
We appreciate your interest in Sound Doctrine Ministries.
Our names are Scott and Valene Smith and we are ordained servants of Christ Jesus. We are free to move by the direction
of the Holy Spirit to wherever the Lord leads and we have a truck and travel
trailer that we live in and work out of. Our main focus is seeking the lost
sheep- which we do by going into the streets, bars, all night restaurants,
etc... We minister with the gifts
of singing and playing the guitar and sometimes by offering food and drink. We
share the good news of Jesus Christ and His salvation through faith and pray
with those who are receiving His message. Often the Lord will move through words
of knowledge when ministering. We also look to encourage those in the church who
are seeking a more fulfilling walk with their Lord.
Our Mission
is to make known the Good News (that God has provided reconciliation through
Jesus Christ, the Savior to all mankind), to strengthen and encourage those who
share our faith, and to promote love, purity and unity among God’s people.
Our gifts and talents
are music, song, and prayer for the sick as well as meeting the physical,
emotional and spiritual needs of those we minister to.
We believe
that God loves mankind and He sent His only son Jesus Christ to be the atonement
for our sins and that
only through Him
can we be reconciled to God.
We travel and minister by faith, working contract labor, doing odd jobs, and receiving free will offerings. The Lord has blessed us with many talents. Scott is an experienced
electrician of 30 years and also an experienced welder fabricator, carpenter, and all
around handyman. Valene is a sketch artist specializing in facial portraits. We want to use
our gifts and talents to serve our Lord, and we strive to be self-supporting just like Paul
did as a tent maker. We will do whatever work the Lord provides while we seek to
serve Him.
